The roof storage at Crossway is not a conventional space, rather an area on top of the cubes that house the bedrooms within the curve of the Grand Designs roof. A loft hatch wasn't an option as there is no ceiling. Our folding staircase is mounted on the back of a door that is also used as a room divider which hides the staircase until it is required, when it can be unfolded for use. It is a simple yet very clever design.
